The teaching sessions may focus on a single drug or several drugs that are readily available and commonly used in the local community. The sessions for law enforcement personnel include information on:

  • Identifying common substances of abuse: both legal and illegal substances
  • Recognizing drug paraphernalia
  • Recognition of clandestine drug laboratories
  • Personal indicators of drug use
  • Drug-induced toxicity and emergency responses
  • Information regarding drug endangered children
A comprehensive handout accompanies each PowerPoint presentation. The information presented in the sessions is regularly updated to include new information on each drug or new drugs on the street.
Prior to scheduling a presentation, ACT on Drugs will solicit input from the organizers and tailor the presentation to meet the requests of the audience.
